Dr Sonja Blainey General Practitioner
Dr Sonja Blainey MBBS (UNSW) FRACGP Dip CH has worked in Ultimo for over 20 years. Dr Blainey offers experience in general practice medicine with a special interest in immunisation, preventative child and family care, aged care, travel medicine, and chronic disease management including diabetes. Dr Blainey conducts antenatal shared care for pregnancy, and has interest in sexual health, reproductive heath and women’s health, and is able to provide contraceptive implants and IUDs.

Dr John Cosgriff is a New Zealand medical graduate who has lived in Sydney for eight years and has Fellowships of both the Australian and NZ Colleges of General Practitioners. His interests are in all areas of family medicine, but has particular interests and experience in mental health and men’s health. Dr Cosgriff is also a shared care antenatal provider.

Dr Lesley Peter is a graduate of the University of Sydney and also holds a master of Public Health Degree. She has worked in the Glebe area for over 20 years and believes in the value of continuing care to individuals and families. Dr Peter has experience in all areas of general practice including chronic disease management and mental health. She is also an antenatal shared care provider with Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Dr Tim Shortus General Practitioner
Dr Tim Shortus graduated with a medical degree from the University of Sydney with first class honours, and holds a Master of Public Health degree and PhD from UNSW. He is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer with the Centre for Primary Health Care and Equity at UNSW, and is actively involved in general practice education and research. Dr Shortus has been at Broadway General Practice since 2004 and enjoys all aspects of general practice, including but not limited to shared antenatal care, mental health care and care of chronic illness, and he believes strongly in the value of providing continuing, whole-person care to individuals and families.

Dr Thet Naing Soe is an Australian trained General Practitioner. Dr Soe holds a master of paediatric medicine from the University of Sydney. He enjoys all aspects of family medicine. His special interests include child health, sexual health, chronic disease management, geriatric medicine and mental health.
Dr Clair Ancher General Practitioner
Dr Clair Ancher studied Medicine at the University of Newcastle and has worked in South Western and South Eastern Sydney as a Doctor since 2004. Dr Ancher has been a Fellow of General Practice since 2015 and has special interests in child health, women’s health, preventative medicine and travel health. She previously worked at Sydney Children’s Hospital for 2 years where she was enrolled in paediatrics before realising her preference was general practice. Before studying medicine, Dr Ancher completed an architecture degree at the University of Sydney.
Dr Asha Nair General Practitioner
Dr Asha Nair obtained her basic medical degrees from India & London. She also has a Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetrics & Gynaecologists in London. She has a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of Singapore. Dr Nair is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. She also has a certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Medicine from the University of Queensland.
Dr Nair has experience working in London, Singapore and Australia where she has worked since 1991. She is a very experienced General Practitioner, with special interests in internal medicine, gynaecology, mental health, community geriatrics, and chronic disease management (particularly diabetes and hypertension). Dr Nair is happy to consult any aspects of family medicine.

Dr Maria Li is an Australian graduate who has completed her Fellowship (postgraduate studies) in general practice in 1995. She has been working in this area for more than 20 years and covers all aspects of general practice including preventative medicine, adult and elderly people’s healthcare, travel medicine, and managing chronic diseases.

Dr Evie Tonkin General Practitioner
Dr Evie Tonkin completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2014. After graduating, she worked at Nepean Hospital and then Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital, before training in general practice. She was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019. She has also completed a Diploma of Child Health, and Focussed Psychological Strategies skills training, and has a broad range of clinical interests.
